Spiro Grias has been coating floors across Metro Detroit for over 20 years. What started as a passion for concrete coatings in the early 2000s became a full-time career built on one principle: do the prep work right, and the floor takes care of itself.
Unlike franchise operations that send rotating crews with minimal training, Spiro is on every job. He does the estimate, the diamond grinding, the coating, and the final walkthrough. Our Philosophy: Prep Is Everything
The biggest difference between a floor that lasts 2 years and one that lasts 20 is what happens before the first drop of epoxy hits the concrete. That's why we spend more time on surface preparation than the actual coating process.
Every floor gets commercial diamond grinding — never acid etching. Diamond grinding opens the pores of the concrete and creates a true mechanical bond that locks the coating system in place. Acid etching, which franchise crews use to save time, only creates a weak chemical bond that breaks down under hot tires and moisture.
After grinding, we fill every crack, repair every divot, and level every imperfection. Only then do we apply the multi-coat system: primer, pigmented base coat, decorative broadcast (flake, metallic, or solid color), and a UV-stable polyaspartic clear topcoat that seals everything together.
